Community Objections Closing Friday 8th May 2026
MAKE A SUBMISSION NOWSubmissions are now open to object to the Disaster Bay ‘Eden 1’ kelp farm and will close on Friday 8th May.
Instructions are provided below. Please let us know once you've made your submission and you can be kept updated on any developments.
We need at least 50 objections to get the Independent Planning Commission involved — they have the power to stop the development. Please spread the word to family, friends and visitors to the bay to help reach this target.
Anyone worldwide, of any age (including children) can make a submission.
Thank you for helping protect Disaster Bay — together we can make a difference!

You will be asked to explain why you object to the kelp farm. All concerns, large or small, are important — you can include one or many.
There is no need to provide scientific data or evidence. The Independent Planning Commission will investigate concerns — just write in your own words.
DO NOT copy and paste the points below. You must use your own words when making a submission.
(Replace with a detailed local map or EIS diagram if available)
